Q. How do I pay?
A. You may pay online or by mail. You may pay by check, money order or credit card
Q. How do I pay by mail?
A. Make check or money order payable to The City of Charlack.
Do not mail cash.
Instructions are found on the bottom portion of your notice marked “Please return this portion with your payment." Complete this portion; add your check or money order payable to the City of Charlack in the enclosed envelope. Affix a stamp and mail. If you do not have the return envelope, mail your payment in full to:

Q. How do I pay online?
A. Go to https://www.violationgateway.com/charlack and log on with your Violation Notice Number and Plate Number shown in the red box on the front of your Violation Notice. Click the Pay button.
Q When (or how much) must I pay?
A. The amount and date due are shown in the lower right box on the front of your violation notice.
Q. Where do I mail my violation payment?
A. There is a return envelope enclosed with the violation notice. Please use this envelope and include the portion at the bottom of the violation notice
Q. What if I don’t pay the fine?
A. Failure to pay the fine amount on or before the due date printed on the front of your violation notice will result in an notice to appear in court and possible other penalties.
Q. Is there a way to reduce the fine and learn more about traffic safety?
A. Yes. You may receive a $35.00 refund by attending a free traffic safety class offered by the City of Charlack on the first Thursday of each month. The three hour class is typically held from 9:00am to 12:00pm and from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. If the violator attends the class, a refund check will be provided at the end of class.
